Effective InfoGraphics

Infographics are a form of story telling through pictures. They are a great way to add punch to narrative or replace narrative altogether. Here are links to a few of my recent favorites:

Doctors Tech Toolbox  This infographic talks about modernization of health IT systems, and how $19 billion was allocated to expedite the health IT systems under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  It includes information on technology spending and uses of technology in the US healthcare system.  In addition to the current picture, it provides trending statistics on US hospital spending on IT systems. Information packed and highly informative.

Infographic: 60 percent of people don’t get enough sleep – this one just scared me. I think I’ll take a nap now.

2012 – The End of the World? Hmmm. There was a lot of sunspot activity this week.
